The past 10 years has seen pet owners go from spending $25 billion dollars a year to $55 billion in 2013 with the pet services sector being one of the fastest growing segments of the pet industry.

 

Spending in 2014 is estimated to be $58.51billion dollars according to "American Pet Products Association".  Even in a economic downturn the pet industry continued grow.
